About Me

Dear Friends,
Welcome!
This is my space for sharing poetry and
photography, and for initiating occasional
discussions. Inspiration comes to me
from life – its joys and sorrows,
and from nature’s beauty all around.
My husband and I have been married for almost
twenty-nine years, and we have two young-adult
children,Β
and one seven-year-old chocolate lab, Copper.
I have published two collections of poetry,
New Day, New Dreams and Finding a Balance.
MoreΒ
information can be found on the
Published Works tab, if you’re interested in
purchasing copies.
During your visit here, I hope something resonates
with you…something grand enough to bring you back.
I appreciate your visit very much.
In Love and Friendship,
LaurenΒ

  1. Hi! Great to meet you and Copper today…I think you’re the first poet I’ve followed and I look forward to having a poem to brighten my days Thank you…(did you see my email about the correct link for my blog?)

    • Thanks so much for following and I just got home from work, so I haven’t seen your other comment, but I’ll look for it. I write about life, from the heart and a lot of romance, just so you know! πŸ™‚ I hope you do enjoy and I look forward to getting to know you, too!

    • Hi Sharon,

Thanks so much for thinking of me, but I stopped accepting awards awhile ago due to time constrictions with family, job, and trying to keep up with reading other blogs…I hope you understand, my friend, and Congratulations to you, too! Hugs!

    • Thank you so much! I appreciate this honor, but I have to be honest in saying I haven’t been accepting awards for awhile now, due to time constrictions. So, thank you again and I would understand if you wanted to pass it on to someone new…Congratulations to you, too! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks again, Ahmad, and I also remember that this award is for new blogs with 200 or less followers; I’ve been blogging for almost two years now, so I don’t think I fall into this category. But, again, I appreciate you thinking of me! Have a wonderful day! πŸ™‚

      • I don’t know abt this rule πŸ˜€ and I’ve been blogging for over 2 years now πŸ˜€ and Idk how many follower I’ve got πŸ˜€ but things are real slow on my blog since I was in the army 😦 so am trying to reconnect πŸ™‚

      • I just visited you and your writing is beautiful with emotion…love it. We all start “at the beginning” so just do what you can. One hint, don’t forget to tag your poems and posts…that will bring more traffic, too. I’ll be back! Enjoy your evening! Lauren πŸ™‚

  2. Your confluence of emotion and perception is palpable in your poetry and from it I can acquire some semblance of quiet. Oh, and thank you too for stopping by my blog. All the best to you…!

    • Oh, thank you so much, Pooky! That’s very nice to hear..I write from the heart, that’s me, and I look forward to getting to know you, too! I’m glad Christine introduced you on fb! πŸ™‚

      • Me too! From the heart seems like the best way forwards and it certainly makes for some beautiful poetry that is a joy, and not a labour, to read x

  3. Happy Birthday, Lauren! [reminded by our mutual friend, Deb: http://adamsart.wordpress.com/2014/03/25/happy-birthday-lauren/%5D

…and they say that star signs are nonsense!!!
My very best wishes for a fulfilling and joyful year! hugs πŸ™‚ xxx

    • Thank you so much, Marina, and I love how we share similar dates on all of these wonderful occasions…although I know I’m ahead of you in years! πŸ™‚ I’m so sorry I missed your birthday, too, so I’m sending many belated hugs to you and I hope you had the best day ever, my friend! Thanks again and have a wonderful day today, too! β™₯ xoxo

  6. I finally was able to get to follow your site after much hunting around.
I wondered why I was following you yet not getting any updates.
It appears I had to actually click on follow on your site, even though I have you in my settings.
Now to get my mate Aussie Ian to follow you.
    Cheers
    Emu

  7. What a great day to be here! When you are having your 5th anniversary. I have already said happy anniversary elsewhere; but let me repeat it. May this blog become a greater blessing this year than ever before! And may you forever shine through it!

  9. Hello Lauren,

I am so sorry to hear about your father. I helped him make his Memory books last year. I have an email to you and hope that you will contact me so I can send that message to you. Wonderful poems!
