Copper enjoying the heat

Copper joins us in the morning because this is his favorite
spot by the heat.
(he hasn’t acquired a taste for coffee, though)

loving the sunshine

He also loves the warmth of the sun, but is this a comfortable
pillow?

He changed his mind and is now completely content.Β

    • Yes, it’s those little things that tend to be more special to us. Copper sends kisses to both you and your girl, Marina! Big hugs from me! πŸ™‚ β€πŸŒ·πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸ’œ

  1. Big things are like rocks piled up. The little things are like sand that fill the gaps – making it whole and solid. We need both to fully appreciate our blessings. Just my twisted – in a nice way – take on life, I suppose.

    All good wishes,
    Eric

    • I love your take on life, Eric, and it doesn’t sound twisted at all. πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend ahead. By the way, it was time for an upbeat post from my little world in WP. πŸ™‚

  2. Lauren, I’m enjoying my morning cuppa and granola even more now, reading your lovely positive post! The flowers radiate joy and life and Copper is adorable … has a lot to teach us about total relaxation and contentment! I’ve seen the quote from Kurt Vonnegut before but today it struck a particular chord with me! Happy Weekend, my friend, and let’s continue to enjoy those small (big) things in life! ❀️

    • I’m glad you enjoyed this, Annika. I thought it was time to brighten my blog after the last couple of posts. So, did you see your book behind the coffee in my book basket? πŸ™‚ Yes, we can learn a lot from dogs. A dog’s life is the truth! I love that quote, too. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all that causes anxiety. But when we really focus on those little things, they become big in the best of ways. Happy Weekend to you, too, my dear friend. Sending big hugs your way! ❀🌷

      • Lauren, now I’m crying!! πŸ˜€β€οΈ Bless you…I hadn’t noticed the book (Copper took centre stage!) but am so touched you placed it there! Thank you so much! Your post and words have stayed with me today!! Hugs πŸ˜€β€οΈ

      • Well, that basket is where my current reading books rest and yours has been there from the start. πŸ™‚ You’re welcome, and have a wonderful day, my friend…Big hugs back! Happy Friday! β€πŸŽ‰πŸŒ»

  3. This is adorable, Mom! I believe it’s the simple things in life that make us the happiest! Love you xoxo

  4. I loved this post, Lauren! It’s wonderful to meet you. I’ll look forward to reading more of your writings. I borrowed the Vonnegut quote to use on my FB hummie quotes…that’s a great one!

  5. Hello Lauren: Super glad to have come across your blog. This is a great post. We often miss out that which is most critical for our happiness: little things that bring smiles. Flowers, coffee, Copper – moments of preciousness. All the best! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Sarah! On the back of the mug reads, β€œHold your head high.” I loved the message, along with the cute giraffe. Keep smiling, and hope you’re having a great day! β€οΈπŸ’πŸŒ»
