Judgment

I lost my head in the clouds
idling somewhere unknown
My heart almost fell too
but I caught it just in time

Reflexes have improved
but there’s no other option
If sanity serves to stand a chance
they certainly can’t worsen

I wonder about my mind
why I had no control
and how it felt detached
acting on its own

It’s crazy how it perceives
only what it chooses
but sometimes that can be
the cause of me losing

I dare to say my world is fine
and the big sky is still clear
No stormy weather predicted
and my vision no longer obscure

  1. A lovely poem Lauren. Life can be hard and we can only find our way through by experience and maybe getting lost. “No mistakes, only lessons”, I read somewhere, but they are only lessons if we learn from them! 😊❤️ Xxx

  2. Anxiety stays with us from childhood through to the present. I can’t think of any time in that natural progression there is a clear vision of our future. We may think the vision is not obscure but that can only be because of hindsight. Life will surprise you all the days of your life.

  3. lnevitable the paths of all the ups and downs through the course of life …
Ye,the big blue sky and the brilliantly shining sun are always there for us even behind the grey clouds …
Loved your emotive, poetic expression, dearest Lauren!Sending hugs & kind thoughts your way 🙂 Doda ❤ xxx

  4. Perception is an obscure thing, one day everything looks one way, the next, it’s turned on it’s head! And actually, it is hard to say everything is fine, almost scary to do so, because even if things feel okay, the fear of the thought of thinking it’s okay, might somehow change it to not fine. Sounds silly I know, but I think it’s an underlying fear for many people. It would be nice to get up each new day and be totally bold in saying “it’s all good, and it’s staying good!” Very thoughtful! 🙂
