Celebrating Silver! ♥ Woohoo!

FINAL PHOTO OF UNITY CANDLE

As we both remember the day we said our vows
many emotions were felt but we never had any doubts
We’ve seen dreams come true and felt the magic they brought
We’ve shared tears and sorrows when life wasn’t so bright
A quarter of a century, though, is a milestone to cherish
hand in hand we’ve walked and built our world on trust
from big events to simple pleasures enjoyed in ordinary days
we’ve only just begun as we stroll into new decades ♥

And this is “Our Song”
I still get goosebumps watching this awesome dance scene.
God Rest Patrick Swayze’s soul…

  1. Wow!!! Lauren, Congratulations to you both on your Big Day…. Oh how wonderful… I remember my own 25th… We went to Canada for a special holiday.. Trip of a life time in fact… as we travelled coast to coast… 🙂
I am amazed how close our Wedding dates are… even if not in years LOL.. Ours is the last day of January… the year 75 🙂 and yes as you so rightly say… Life has had its ups and downs, but binds us ever closer together.. 🙂 Big Hugs and have a super Day..
    Happy Anniversary to you both..

    Love and Light.. Sue xox

    1. Thanks for your loving wishes, Sue, and Big Hugs, those are always wonderful! I’ll be thinking of you both on January 31st and may your day be special, too! Hugs and blessings! xo

  2. Congratulations Lauren! 25 years is a very long time especially in this day and age 🙂 It’s people like you who give others hope that they will last that long as well. Such a great song and a fabulous movie too xxx

    1. Aww…thanks for your lovely words, Bianca, and I know, it’s a tough time for couples to stay together for the long haul. Even when we were married, we knew some couples who were divorcing. Glad you liked the song and movie, too! It’ll always be a favorite of ours and it’s so sad that Patrick Swayze died so young. Take care! xoxo

    1. Thanks so much, Wendell! Your wishes mean a lot to both of us. My hubby is amazed at all the wonderful comments and very touched, too! Sending hugs to you, my brother!

  3. Congrats to you two. I well remember that day, Mom and I both chimed in to say :we do” when Murray asked who was giving the bride away. Mom would be so pleased to know (and I know she doers know) that you both have made this a terrific milestone in your lives. Much love, Dad

  4. Lauren, I’m delighted for you and your beloved – Happy Anniversary! Wishing you many, many more beautiful years. I absolutely love that song, and it’s one of my favourite movies, too! Have an absolutely lovely, special day, my friend! xoxox

    1. Thanks so much, Julie, for your lovely wishes and comment. I’m glad you like this song and movie, too. I remember when it came out and we just loved it; had to call it “our song” as the timing was perfect! Thanks again and big hugs to you, also! xoxo

    1. Thanks so much, Eric, and I have a feeling you and your wife are close to us or ahead of us somewhere. Either way, I know you’ve found happiness in love, too, and can relate. God willing, we’ll see many more years together! 🙂

  5. Susie

Congratulations to my awesome sis and her handsome man! You have many memories and a very special bond. I love you both. Susie

    1. I’ve known that for a long time, thanks, Lindy! 🙂 I’m on a little blogging break but am trying to respond to comments. I’ll see you in the near future and take care! xx

  6. That’s so good to read a happy story!♥ Congratulations to you and your hubby Lauren, and I hope you have many more happy years! I love that song – remember it well! 😀

      1. Yes thank you I’m doing fine! 🙂 I only changed my user name, blog is still the same name and address. I needed to lose the user name as I’m hoping to have some of my work used for a short film some time this year that someone wants to make – although these things take a long time to come together, so it could be longer! But when it’s up on You Tube, I thought having SuzyWordmuser as a writers credit would sound a bit silly! Better to have the blog and other links all with the same – sensible name! 🙂

  7. A big congrats to you and your hubby Lauren, and here’s to many more years of happiness ahead! 🙂

What a lovely post this was to read. I’m thinking how music defines so many memories in our lives. How well I remember the year that song and movie came out, it was everywhere! Great tune.

On another topic, when you have time, can you send me an email at:

I have an idea to run by you. Thanks.

    Lots of hugs, G

    1. Thanks so much, Geraldine, and I’m glad you enjoyed this song, too. Sometimes it still feels like yesterday when it first came out…:)

I’ll email you this weekend! Thanks and have a great day! Hugs back, too!

  8. Belatedly (on WP anyway) wishing you and your hubby another lovingly magical 25 years, Lauren. Of course, that is not forgetting that such love lasts into eternity. XO ♥
