Clouds are welcomed
when my eyes tire
of the sun and
their tears soothe
my soul, while inside
staying warm
but sometimes
they exude
uncertainty in
the night
their color
becomes blurry
with no vision
in sight
I much
rather prefer
my world
in
black
and
white

Black and white ? When we were kids, Mrs. Wier down the block had the first color TV in the neighborhood. Imagine. A color TV just like at the movies right there in here own living room! Once a week she’d let us all in to watch batman. What a thrill. I too am going to buy a color TV. One of these days.
I hope you get that colored t.v. soon, Carl! 🙂
How true, Lauren…sometimes I also do wish only for Black and White when uncertainties cloud my world, and colors become a distraction.

Black and White – so much more easier than shades of grey or colours. But then again, how much more will I miss – the beauty of nature, the sunrise and sunset, the rolling meadows, the brilliant blooms of your love – your lips and eyes – how much more to —
Well, I wouldn’t want to miss anything in color, but I do better “living” in black and white where things are clearer. I don’t do well “living” in gray, which is where we’re at in a certain situation…that’s where my inspiration came from, Eric. But, I wouldn’t want to miss colors of beauty for anything and I love your perspective! Thanks and hugs!

Black + white = Gray, whether we like it or not, doesn’t it?
