Hiking with King Copper

Our heat wave finally ended. It’s warm, but beautiful and bearable. So Copper and I ventured out into the sunshine, beginning with a short drive of about 15 minutes. Then we hiked uphill (about 25 minutes) to our first stop, where one of us had a treat. Can you guess who? 🙂 We then hiked onward to our final lake destination. It’s about a 6 mile round trip hike. (Keep in mind, these photos were taken with my iPhone and the photo of Copper lying down came out a little blurry, but I thought it worth sharing, anyway.)

At the end of our adventure, I tried to get photos of us, but it was difficult synchronizing our smiles. What you see turned out a little funky and maybe, classic, with Copper’s cooperation! 🙂

  1. Beautiful shots Lauren first two are stunning but next three are absolutely my favourite. Well done Copper, I can see you know about profiles 😀
Sending Wove and Wugs to both of you 🙂

    1. Aww…thanks, Soma, for your kind words and I’m glad you liked the Copper photos! I debated whether to post them or not! My son is very convincing! 🙂 Thanks for the wove and wugs and sending some back to you, too! Woof! 🙂 xo

  2. Wonderful Lauren!
Its amazing what good pictures can be taken with phone cameras these days!

They are all fab, but as others have said the last two are gems.

    1. Thanks so much, Chris, and I’m amazed, too, at the quality now with cell phones. The iPhone is much better, though, than my old flip phone and since our camera has died, it’s nice to have the convenience. Glad you liked the last two, also; wasn’t sure about posting those! 🙂 HBL ♥ xxx

    1. Thanks, Sharon, and yes, I walk him every day, but a hike like this one, I need to do more often, especially when the weather is better and not so hot. We started early, though. 🙂

  3. OMG! Is Copper still growing? His head…it’s massive! 🙂
Please give him a big hug and treat from me!…and you, hugs a plenty! 🙂
    Have a great week!

    1. I don’t think he is, Deb! I think he’s done, but he’s big, strong and all muscle! What’s funny is he’s about 80 lbs. and there are dogs bigger than him. I can’t imagine because he’s big enough, especially when we’re sitting next to him on the floor! 🙂 Of course, next to your cute little ones, he’s a horse! Hugs to you, too, and have a great week! xo

    1. Hi Cat! Aren’t they hilarious? It wasn’t easy trying to hold the phone, get him to cooperate and me, too, then push the button. I’m pretty coordinated, but that was challenging! lol Thanks so much and sending Lots of love and hugs to you, my friend! xxx

    1. You’re welcome and thank you, Cynthia! Maybe he has grown since he joined our family, but I think he’s done now and big enough! Hugs back to you, too! xoxo

  4. Julie Catherine

Awesome photos, Lauren, and I just love the ones of Copper too! I think my little Annie might be the size of his head, lol! 🙂 Love and hugs to you all! xoxox

    1. Aww…thanks, Julie, and too funny about little Annie! She’s so cute, though! Copper isn’t the biggest dog around, but he is big and I can’t imagine walking a dog bigger than him! 🙂 Love and hugs to you, too! xoxo And a kiss to Annie! 🙂
