Bananas

Swinging from the chandelier
I’m overwhelmed from toes to ear
I know it’s time to walk the frog
Can’t just sit, type and blog
I’d love to dye my hair bright red
Did you hear what I just said?
Reaching for the coffee cup
Time to fill and pet the pup
In the wind, I feel so free
Would you like a cup of tea?
I’d love to swim and read a book
It’s five o’clock, what shall I cook?
Staring at the vacuum cleaner
I wonder why the fish are meaner
Planets aren’t aligned, at all
Let’s go shopping at the mall
I could talk and talk for miles
but only if you share more smiles

    1. Thanks, PJ, they’re actually leaves from one of our trees from last year…it’s not the best photo, but I’m glad you think it looks okay. I just love the fall colors! And I’m glad this poem made you smile, too! I was feeling a little silly! 🙂 The weekend was good, now back to work! Have a great evening!

    1. Awww..thanks, Nanda, I’m so glad you liked this bit of craziness! And the red is only fiction, although, my hair is golden brown with slight tints of red…hope you’re not too disappointed! 🙂 Have a happy day!

      1. I just started coloring my hair a few months ago…didn’t want to get into the routine or expense, but was tiring of the grays coming in! 🙂 So, I get it highlighted and it looks good; I want it to look natural, but I held out until I was 51, so that is a miracle in itself! Hee,hee!

  2. This is Fabulous, Lauren–it has a very familiar feel! Hmm, wonder if I should go bake some banana bread too–I have a ton of them in the freezer…. God bless you Big–have a great week! Love and prayers from this sis, Caddo

    1. Aww…thanks, Caddo! Have you baked the bread, yet? Ours is gone. I live with vultures! 🙂 But, I also shared some with a friend. I forgot about freezing the bananas; will have to try that! Have a great week, too, and sending much love, hugs and blessings your way, sis!

    1. Thanks so much, Scott, and I run across comments that I missed, too, and wonder how that happened. I must have been in a silly mood to write this and I’m glad you enjoyed it! Finally, TGIF, hope you have a great weekend, my friend!

Your thoughts are welcome!
