A quick “hello”

Hello Everyone,

I won’t be blogging again until next week…
My family has been with my Dad and sisters for support and
to plan my Mom’s service for this Saturday.
I’m sure you can imagine how it’s been emotional
and heartbreaking, especially seeing my Dad cry.
When we hear him tell old friends that he lost his gal…

I’m at a loss for words after reading your beautiful thoughts,
but, thank you all so much for your prayers and love.
I’m also sorry to be missing your wonderful writing and
posts and unfortunately, I won’t be able to catch up, but please know
that you have been missed, as well.  I will do my best to respond
when I return~

My Mom, at 90, was truly happy that I started this poetry blog,
so her happiness will be with me forever.

A Big “Thank you” and Blessings to you all
and I hope you’re all doing well~
Lauren

  2. You take your time and not concern yourself with blogging…We’ll all be here when you are ready.
My love and prayers are with you always.
God Bless you and your family!
    Love and Hugs,
    ~ Deb xx

    1. Thanks so much, Deb…the service and reception were beautiful and all went well…emotions are still active and will be for awhile, even though we know she’s at peace and not suffering anymore…it’s the reality of not being able to call and hear her voice or see her, that will take time to accept…I hope you’re doing well, too, and I’ll be working on responses this week, then will start reading again~thanks for all your support, prayers and hugs! I need them~xx

  3. My sincere condolences. I recently lost my father at the age of 77. It was heartbreaking. I hope that the sympathy of your friends and the comradeship of your family will help you through this terrible time. We creative types feel the stab of pain more sharply than others. Don’t fight it. Ride with it. God bless, Russell

    1. Thank you so much, Russell, for your warm words and I’m so sorry about the loss of your father, too…emotions will be active for awhile, but that’s part of the grieving process, so we’ll be fine…we’ve had wonderful support, as you mentioned, along with all of the blogging support, which is overwhelming..it all helps and I hope you’re doing okay, too~I send my condolences to you and your family, as well, and may you also find comfort in support from your family and friends~Blessings to you~

Your so very welcome. Your poems for your Mom and your Dad have brought back so many memories for me. Both my parents are in heaven now…hand in hand. They were married almost 50 years before my Daddy passed away. Time does heal, forever in our hearts and yes I often talk to them both. More hugs for you… 🙂

  5. Lauren, continuing to send thoughts and prayers to you and your family. It’s a difficult time, I know. May you find joy and comfort in all the good memories you have of your mother.
