In-Between Life

A quiet interlude of two consenting minds
connecting in desired agreement
A gentle kiss becoming delectable
bodies embracing, passion flaring
the baring of equally loving souls
Each giving to fulfillment
breathless whispers
over the moon ending
descending into
anticipation
for the next
lovely
rendezvous

Oh, I love the last few lines of this Lauren … still building but then the reader needs no more – very good.

  2. This is very passionate, Lauren…Very well written, my friend…I love it!
Thank you for your time spent in my space last evening…I enjoyed your visit…As always!
    Have a wonderful day!
    Hugs, xx

    1. Thanks, Deb, I wrote this after thinking of when the kids were little and finding these quiet interludes weren’t as easy as bk (before kids 🙂 )

I’m glad you liked it and I’ll be over your way again…I don’t know how I’ll ever catch up! 🙂
      Hugs!

This poem is marvellous. It seems to expand out, not only in the physical form but also in its pace and depiction, and then it tightens to one point: rendezvous. Excellent stuff.

  4. Very lovely perfection in line lengths, rhythms, language all matching the prelude, interlude and postlude of this romantic encounter, ending with my favorite lines here:
    Over the moon ending
    descending into
    anticipation
    for the next
    lovely
    Rendezvous”—————–especially the part about
    descending into anticipation.
